I had never trained jiu-jitsu before until the day I watched one of Marcello C. Monteiro's classes. I was very lucky to be one of his first students.

I learned everything I know with him. In only 10 months, as a blue belt, I won my first championship and a year and 10 mouths later I became the Brazilian National Champion. The first champion of my city. Today I am a brown belt and so far, am undefeated my weight class.

Monteiro has a lot of technical knowledge and in my opinion he is , if not the best, one of the best current coaches.
